As another weekend rapidly approaches and the hours of work remaining between boozy oblivion and us become increasingly bearable Heads Will Roll has some exciting developments to share. Last Saturday night saw Heads Will Roll move one step closer to launching its much anticipated event series. HWR house djs and resident noisemakers, Work Experience DJs, took over a Mount Lawley house party for 6 hours of decadent hedonistic mayhem. After this insanely successful trial run all reports are the action is extremely close to go time and is set to explode once it’s finally packaged (with a venue) for general consumption.
This weekend masked, Italian DJs, the Bloody Beetroots, will destroy Villa with their aggressive brand of electro. Expect sweaty, shirtless boys indiscriminately sharing their fluids in this sold out show. Find out information such as set times in the full HWR write up here.
Van She descend into the confines of Capitol for their Ze Remixes tour. Promising to play new versions (techno, dance, noise) of all of the songs we know and love (?). After their set, expect an early one, Van She will transmogrify into Van She Tech from 11pm to DJ along side with the Death Disco boys. Click on the underlined words to get a bit more information and purchase tickets for the show.
Keeping with last week’s theme, the final word for this week is saved for a dead pop music icon. Warning as this clip might cause sexual feelings towards moustached “women” cleaning houses, just go with it, don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone.

We Love Ministry of Sound will be occurring this Foundation Day long weekend but the Western Australian government is trying it’s best to ruin the event. Firstly the opening hours were shortened, causing the organisers to bring the event forward to fit in all of the acts. Now the organisers are being forced again to change the event. Metro city will be shut at 2am and will have a midnight lockout; Capitol will shut at 2am and have a 1am lockout. I won’t be surprised if when you get to the venue to find the doors locked already as the WA government has started enforcing a night time curfew on our state starting when Fat Cat says it’s time to go to bed. Will this be the end of touring festivals being organised in Perth over long weekends? If anyone has ideas of how we can stop something like this again please make your selves heard.
Besides this bullshit everyone should be super excited about what’s sure to be an awesome festival.
The Venue breakdown and playing time information has been released for the upcoming We Love Ministry of Sound festival. Key points are the changed opening and closing times and make sure you take note the bars will be closed at 2am. Popof playing before Zabiela is pure joy , however the worry is getting into Capitol after for Danger because his show is a definite can not miss.
